Unlisted field?

Yeah, remember that the client works against a DataView, which is built behind the scenes sometimes from multiple underlying tables.

The reality is that Vantage wasn't really developed with "customer developers" in mind. :-)

I just went through this today. I am using the Part BO in a web application and wanted to craft a query that made use of the PrimBinNum that is contained in the PartWhse table of the PartDataSet. I am fortunate to have tested my query with the BLTester and the Part GetRows method - After I got nowhere fast, I checked the table schema and found that the field is not part of the db table. The Progress code on the server must 'helpfully' combine the fields of several db tables into the dataset table. An 'if' statement in my app foreach loop does the final filtering for me.

Has anyone run into a standard table field that they could not access in a BAQ or BPM?

The Part Master stores the default bin in the PartWhse.PrimBinNum field but I cannot access the field outside the part form.
Did you get that from looking it in customization on the part master?

Try PlantWhse.primbin

The GUI is not always correct and sometimes it's incorrect due to legacy design.

Always reference your Data Dictionary.

I think the field you're looking for is in PlantWhse

On the part master when you look at the data set in Service connect there is
an InActive field on the PartPlant table. However this field isn't even in
the database or in vantage. I have a large group of people in my company
that would love to inactivate parts in a certain plant.
