Unshipping creates duplicate transaction

When we unship a package (usually to correct something to do with freight), the system creates 2 negative STK-CUS transactions instead of one. So we end up with extra inventory at the end that we have to remove from the system since it does not exist in real life.

Below is the Part Tran for one such transaction (re-ordered to read from top to bottom).

Things that occur to me (not sure if they are meaningful or not):

  1. The first STK-STK transaction (move out Bin 1) has a negative Qty but a positive Trans Qty. Not sure why that is.

  2. The unship happened a day later.

Anyone know what might cause this and how it might be prevented?

Thanks.

Do you have any BPMs or customizations on Shipping?

Nope.

There was a bug submitted for this Sam, I’m pretty sure at least.

Thanks. Will see if I can find it.

Sam, it was this:

“Shipping and Unshipping some packs causes the quantity to go up.”

Not sure if that is your issue or not, but that’s what I thought of when I read your post.

“PRB0267907” is the problem number you can reference with support to confirm whether your version has this bug.
