So I think I screwed the pooch on this one…
I was trying to create a new length conversion for tubing we buy in 4ft lengths. The system was forcing my new conversion factor from FT > mm. I noticed mm was set as the base UOM, and since we use FT/Inches, I thought it a good idea to change the base to inches so that it would stop forcing my factor to mm’s.
It allowed me to change the base uom, but it changed the FT conversion to 1ft = 304.8 inches (it was 1 ft = 304.8 mm)
Odd that it changed the unit, but doesn’t allow me to edit the factor.
I guess I don’t fully understand how UOM works in Epicor, but I have no doubt this is going to cause some problems if I can’t resolve soon.
