I recently learned this and thought I would share with the group if anyone else was wondering how to get an updateable dashboard to work within a custom sheet

First create your updatable dashboard and deploy it on the menu. Then go in customization mode on the form you want to add the dashboard to.
Next, add a sheet using the sheet wizard, there you have the option to add a dashboard. Choose the app builder panel option, select the menu id of your dashboard, choose if you want it to subscribe or publish to a field of your form, and thats it.
