I am in the process of writing up an article about this...
Pre 9.05.701, the crystal client only works with the traditional 32 bit
Epicor Client, which is irrelevant to the version of the operating system.
It only the physical client where the compatibility is different. If for
some reason you are using the mfgsys64.exe then you will run into a problem
trying to use crystal prior to 9.05.701 unless you can get the 64-bit
version of crystal reports runtime, which is not provided by epicor.
However, with 9.05.701, the use of the Crystal Reports 2010 SP3 runtime
allows for the use of the mfgsys64.exe client and be able to print using
this 64-bit client.
The use of the 64-bit Runtime versus the 32-bit runtime cannot both be
installed from my experience, so it is totally dependent on which one you
choose to use.
However, there is no specific reason to use the 64-bti client over the
32-bit client as of yet, I suspect down the line this will change.
If you have trouble running the 32-bit client, I would suggest making sure
you setup the program to run in XP SP3 compatibility mode.

Jackie, since you speak with Epicor about the upgrade a good question to
them is if Crystal Reports 2008 (or SAP Business Objects if you like) which
is used to build customized reports in Epicor 905 is compatible with 64-bit
client machines (or servers). My experience is that it runs only in 32-bit
clients. If you don't use Crystal at all then you can forget about this and
you are good to go.
Has anyone in this group more info on this? Please share.
