Updating Parameter of BAQ with Text Box & Button

I am starting to get more into application studio and looking to make more user friendly dashboards along with not having to refresh the page or grid every time you want to check data in a BAQ grid application.

Sorry if this is a repeat question but I haven’t been able to find someone answer the question I have.

I have a BAQ that I used the application studio wizard to make a grid. This BAQ has a parameter or sometimes multiple. I want to be able to have a Text Box with the parameter in it when a user initially sets it for the screen, then have a button when changing that text box on the BAQ Grid screen that pushes any updates to the parameter and updates the Grid.

I have been able to do a button that pushes an update to an updatable BAQ Grid but not sure why Parameters seem to be much more difficult or at least less obvious to me.

Is there an easy way to link a BAQ parameter to a kinetic dashboard filter date picker?

Yes. Create a set of date pickers bound to a transview value: [image] Create an event tied to a button that runs the kinetic BAQ(s) needed for your grid(s). You can pass the parameters here. [image] disable the autoload for your grids so the popup from the BAQ parameters doesn’t appear. This one will be selected automatically if you used the wizard: [image] Hope this helps

Hello, this should also be useful. And applies to any parameters your BAQ has- just make sure each control you create has the data type you need for the parameter.
