Pete:
I just installed the client including the admin tools on my 64bit app server and they ran. I had seen posts that it was able to do so in 702.

Hello Tom, you mention that your consultant was able to run the admin tools (64 bit) on your server, vs running 32 bit admin tools from a client.
Do you know how this is done ? I am struggling with running conversions and would like to run directly on the server if possible.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thank you,

We tried to do our conversion on a 32 bit admin workstation on a friday evening by monday morning it was far from done. We had to abort and our consultant found a method to run the task on our (epicor says you cannot do this on a 64 bit server) new server rather than through a 32 bit admin workstation. We are running a 7 year conversion next thursday since we ran a 3 year conversion 2 weeks ago that was successful.

I have been looking at task manager for a day now. It is moving, but at a very slow pace. What concerns me is that it shows it is doing the same process the last time I was able to see. The conversion window is blacked out and says not responding, but again the task manager jumps to 1 from 0 every 10-20 secs. Is that normal?
