User Session time-out v8

Jennifer,

We use this feature and it works fine. We are also running 811b. The
only problem with it is that we have to log into administration after
someone has timed out and delete the log in record.

Has anyone used the time-out feature in User Maintenence? I tested it
today and it didn't seem to be working. v.8.0.811b

appear as though you never lost it.

Jennifer,
How did you test it?
I came across a second document once that contradicted the first I read.
I believe that the time out feature does not actually time-out and disconnect the session, but after the period of time, will allow the license to be recoverable by a different user who logs on to the server, and when attempting to acquire a license when they are all "in use" will then be able to recovery the license from the other account whose session has exceeded the time-out period.

With that being said, I can still not vouch for the success of the code and methodology, but it may explain why you are not seeing the results you expect.
