Using One Parameter Set for Multiple BAQs in an Epicor Dashboard

Hi everyone,

I have created three BAQs, and all three BAQs use the same parameters to filter data: CustomerID, From Date, and To Date. I have added all three BAQs to a single dashboard.

The issue I am facing is that whenever I refresh the data, the system asks me to enter parameter values for all three BAQs separately. Instead, I want to enter the parameter values only once, and those values should be applied to all three BAQs to filter the data.

I tried the following approach:

  • In one BAQ, I went to BAQ → Properties → Publish and published the fields.
  • In the other two BAQs, I went to BAQ → Properties → Filter Columns to link them with the published fields.

However, in the Filter Columns dropdown list, I cannot find the columns that I need to link with the published fields.

Could someone please guide me on how to make the fields appear in the Filter Columns dropdown, or explain the correct way to link the parameters so that I only need to enter them once for all three BAQs?

Thank you.

Are you looking to filter at the Top Level (first query line in tree) or the Summary Properties (bottom line in the query tree)? The latter opens the Dashboard Grid Properties window. I’ve had better luck there with setting up the filters. You can check for your fields there as well.

filter on query > dashboard > properties …
