V8.00: Reset client connections

Chris,

We have the same problem with our login sessions. We have found that in
most cases, the sessions that are being locked in have been run from a
terminal server. I agree that it is a real pain as I get called all day
long to boot people out, and because the server is not that close to my
office, I have to VNC to the server to do it.

Has anyone found a fix for this yet?

Subject: [Vantage] V8.00: Reset client connections

We are having some network problems which are being resolved but I'm
getting a lot of calls to reset users. It seems Vantage holds on to the
session license even if the client connection is dropped (ghost
sessions). It would be nice if Vantage would either reestablish the
session once connectivity returned or at least drop the server session
for disconnected clients. And while I'm venting, it would be nice if
Vantage gave the user something a little more descript than "Invalid
username or password" for single session users or "Check config file" in
the case of the auto login MES stations. Anyway, does anyone have a
script to periodically check/reset the client sessions at the server?

Thanks and regards,
