Well – it looks like it is a network cable issue. PC works fine in another location.

1. Make sure Windows Firewall is turned off on Win 7 client PC – new PCs would default to On
2. Make sure A/V is not scanning any Epicor folders on Win 7 client PC – same as above, default may be “on”
3. Make sure only one network adapter is active if there are multiple – especially if using wireless disable the wired connection
4. Turn off UAC
5. IPCONFIG /flushdns (worth a shot)
6. Double check HOSTS and SERVICES files so there are entries as needed and no duplicates
On a new machine there should not be references to old servers in HOSTS but check anyway
I recall having similar issues going to Win 7 with Vantage 6.1 and it usually boiled down to network issues. Also, Win 7 was more sensitive to connections via old switches. We replaced a bunch of switches and the difference was night and day.

Subject: [Vantage] V8.03.405a MES Clock In Sloooooow on Brand new Win 7 Computer
We are replacing XP computers with Win 7 computers in preparation for E10
MES Clock In is taking 15-20 seconds on the Win7 machine and is near instantaneous on the XP machine
Anyone have any tips or hints on what I should look at to resolve this – it is totally unacceptable for that kind of lag when employees are lined up to clock in…….
I would search the yahoo site but both Chrome and IE cannot display the yahoo site correctly right now L
