8.03.407A looks for the employee photos (tied to the "Employee"
records)?

Thanks!

Does anyone know where or how to set the folder in which Vantage

is looking for.

Thanks!

I don't know how to change the default path, but on our server the path is :

\\<server>\epicor\mfgsysdata\EmpPhoto\<company>

We messed with this a little bit ago. The images must be in BMP format,
and placed in a specific directory. Located here:

\\<server>\epicor\mfgsysdata\EmpPhoto\<Company
<file:///\\%3cserver%3e\epicor\mfgsysdata\EmpPhoto\%3cCompany>
abbreviation>

You will need to create a new folder named with your company code, this folder needs to be inside the EmpPhoto directory inside of mfgsysdata directory.

ie: \EmpPhoto\HO (HO is our two digit company id)

Hope that helps!

Try this one again.. the other one did not appear to go through...

The default path is the location of your MfgSysData Folder, and it can be
changed be creating it wherever you want and then changing it's location in
the system task agent, then restarting the system task agent.

You need to make sure you make appropriate share privilages for that folder,
and for securities sake it shouldn't be located inside the Epicor folder, it
should be seperate to allow for more grainular and non-inherited NTFS and
Share Permissions.

I think it only looks at .bmp files too correct?

That is correct. Has to be .bmp format.

Yup! That was it, thanks!

There is another "EmpPhoto" folder in the "Server" directory, and I had
put them in there, never bothering to see if there might be ANOTHER
"EmpPhoto" directory somewhere. Why in the world would they have
duplicated the structure (including all the sample photos) like that?!

The pictures must be located in the following directory structure:

\\<server>\epicor\mfgsysdata\EmpPhoto\<company>

In case you have multipe companies and the <company> is your vantage company id. Some if your Vantage Company id is "ABC1" then your directory would be:

\\<server>\epicor\mfgsysdata\EmpPhoto\ABC1

The pictures must be in a .bmp format and resize to 150 pixels by 150 pixels.

.bmp Image - Resize 150 x 150

I am currently doing this for our Vantage 8.03 system so that when we go live it will be ready.
