V8.03 Quote Worksheet Customization

Joe,

I initially thought about this route and it does make it easy to make
fields mandatory or to highlight them or make them bold etc, but I do
not see any options for setting a default value = to another field.

Thanks

Todd

Todd,

I received my first copy when the orginal software arrived here. You
might want to look around or buy one. At first glance, I thought to
myself, I wish there was more. But each time I review the manual , I
learn more. It has a lot of good facts.

Ok, Page 232, this page (and for the next 2-3 pages) has information on
it about what they call Customization. Customization gives you the
ability to modify aspects of the user interface and application
functionlity.

On page 234, they tell you about the Customization Wizard. The example
they give is this: "Can I make the system warn me automatically?" or
"Can I make the information appear automaticly?"

I assume you can setup a wizard to copy information from one field to
another.

Our estimators would like the Quoted Unit Price field on the Quote
Worksheet to default to value of the Quoted Price w/Commission field.
Currently, the field defaults to 0.00 and the user has to type in the
desired Quoted Unit Price. This can become cumbersome if there are
several Qty's on a quote. Most of the time we are satisfied with the
price that Vantage is calculating so why not default this field to that
value? Can someone offer some assistance on how to go about this?

Thank You

Todd Hofert
