V8 BPM question

Cool.. I remembering struggling with one like that using a parameter,
all I remember is that I did get it to work but couldn't remember how!
Glad you got thru it.

Just a follow up.....

I removed % before and after and same error

I enclosed %sourcePartNum% in single quotes and it worked

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
I am trying to use a parameter from the Part.DuplicatePart method
the parameter is %sourcePartNum%

The syntax checker is not liking me using the parameter

%sourcePartNum% must be a quoted constant or an unabbreviated, unambiguous buffer/field reference for buffers known to query . (7328)

Can I use the parameter in a BPM?
I assumed you tried without the %?

No I haven't - I inserted the parameter by right clicking in the query window, selected parameters from context menu and double clicked the parameter.

I will try it tomorrow.
