Are you trying to change properties of a native control or one you've added?
(Native control property edits can be problematic at best because of their interaction with the linked business object methods.)
If you've added your own control from the toolbox, make sure you are looking at all properties (no subsections in the properties window hidden under a "+" marked summary line... indicating more detail exists if you click on the "+").

Sorry, I did not put my name last time...The new issue is from me
(Karen). I don't see a "Numeric Type" control on the properties.. This
is a DockPanel (for line), MiscChrgPanel and the grdMiscChrgList - so it
only shows the fields on the far right and InvcMisc as the DataSource,
but nothing shown for DataField...
I expect since it is not a top layer field, that may be where my issue
is...
Any ideas?

Dear Kathy:
I have also found this to be very stubborn when adding user fields.
Did you double check to make sure that the "Numeric Type" on your
control matches your MaskInput? The choices for Numeric Type are
Integer & Double.
Sometimes, I have found it works if I change the Numeric Type, Save,
Exit the customization, and Exit the module. Then re-enter and
change the MaskInput and Save and Exit both the customization and the
module again before making another change.
Other than that, I have no suggestions to get around this
stubbornness of Vantage 8 customizations.
