V8 Global Alert - email subject line

In Global Alert maintenance, the canned alerts have a pre-defined
description that comes across as the subject line. For
instance, "Task has been assigned". This line is grayed out,
however, so we can't change it.

On the alerts that we have set up through Business Activity Manager,
the .p program that we had to write includes programming for a
specific subject line of our choosing.

Hope that helps!

I've noticed that in V8 when a global alert is made active and an e-
mail gets sent out for it (usually by checking the corresponding user-
defined check box) there is no subject line in the e-mail. Now,
global alerts that were set up and made active when we were on 6.1
have a subject line in the e-mail. Does anyone know how to get a
subject line to show up in V8?
I believe that in Global Alert Maintenance, whatever you put in
the "LABEL" box will be the "SUBJECT" line in the email.

Yeah, I've tried that as well, but it didn't put it in the subject
line. But it might be worth a second look.
