V8 Service Pack 810

The reason they added the indirect code is because if you don't have one
in 8.03 you can't log out of indirect operation. "I have given up on
waiting for all the problems to be fixed before
upgrading" good luck, you'll still have them in 8.03.

We went to 810 and then 810A on Nov 24 and had a couple of minor
issues. We knew it would fix the problem where no labor hours were
being recorded when logging into an indirect code. And it did fix
that, but now it requires you to enter a resource group when you log
into an indirect code. So I created a resource group
called "Indirect" and it suits our needs.

We have a call in on a problem that started with the Method Master
report. If there is a multi-line Purchasing comment, the report
does not handle it well since the upgrade.

We have a call in on another new problem since the upgrade. We have
been promised a fix to this one in 810B. In PO Entry and PO
Tracker, the Line Quantity displayed is no longer equal to the sum
of the Release Quantities. It is equal to the quantity on the first
release. Our PO printout is still correct, but the screens are
wrong. We can change one release quantity and change it back, and
the line quantity recalculates correctly, but it does not stay that
way if you refresh or exit and return.

I have given up on waiting for all the problems to be fixed before
upgrading. We plan to go to 8.03 the first weekend in January
(AFTER our first payday of the year).

Any pioneers out there running 8.00.810 yet?
We stayed at 809c because d,e,f looked a little shaky - g appears to be holding up but would like to go to 810a if there is any experience with it.

We were adventurous enough to load it up last Monday. Appears to be a solid
release.

Did notice a few crystal forms that we had customized get whacked (Sales
Acknowledgement in particular)

However, it seems like it fixed more then it broke!

Some issues we have found since going to 810a from 809g

PO Release details do not refresh automatically when
approving/unapproving purchase order

Cannot manually enter a order number into the filter on Pick Notes.
Have to use search!

Counted date is being left blank when entering a quantity into a tag in
Count Entry

Had one customer with a problem. They don't have engineering (Vista
customer) and the right click on the revision to the methods tracker is
no longer available. An SCR is in place.
