Vantage .400 - CR paramerter prompt or?

Same here, previewing does NOT fix the problem. Only installing the
full client allows it to prompt fully.

On .305K I had a custom job traveler that would print by "operation".
Through a Crystal Reports parameter prompt it would present the
operation numbers of the job and the user could select the desired
operation to print.

This fails on .404a with a ActiveX control error - something to do
with "...is not a single-threaded apartment".

Is anyone else prompting with a Crystal Report parameter prompt at
report runtime on .400?

Is there another way to prompt at runtim for input with a "Report
Definition" based "Report Sytle" report?

Thanks,

Bill
Mr. Bill: What we found is that if you Preview the report first then
the Crystal prompts display normally. If you just try to print
direct then you get the error.

I have seen other threads here that suggest installing the Crystal
developement software on the client and then downloading and
installing the latest Crystal runtime fixes (works around) the
problem. However, for now I have asked our people to just print
preview the report first and then print from the preview window.

It may be a band aide, but I don't see a fix comming anytime soon
from Epicor.

Good Luck,

Dave Olender

Thanks for the feedback Dave,

If nothing else at least I know that we are not the only one having
this problem. Epicor always makes it seem that we are unique with our
Vantage issues.

Did you talk to Epicor on this?

Note, "previewing" does not fix our problem, will still get an error
when it gets to the CR prompt. I will install the CR development
software to test as a work around. It may work as I personally don't
have the problem on my development computer.

Bill
