Vantage 5.0 Hardware

An FAQ will be coming out in mid October, once our internal testing is done.
Our Tech Support Department would suggest that you run Vantage on a stand
alone server running Windows NT 4.0 . I have heard that SBS is not
recommended for Vantage.
If you have questions about your specific needs, please feel free to call
Vantage Tech Support at 1-800-269-3044

Please elaborate on what hardware / software requirements will be needed for
SQL. Also will it run under Microsoft's Small Business Server 4.5?

Has anyone heard what the hardware recommendations are for the next version
of Vantage are going to be? We've got people on the list concerned about
running 4.0 on their current hardware and 5.0 should be on its way; it might
be a good idea to keep that in mind.

I'd also be interested to know if the next version of Vantage is written in
Progress v9.1 (which supports Windows 2000 Server).

Any beta-testers willing to share their thoughts??

Michael,
Thanks for the information!
Has Epicor put together a minimum/recommended hardware configuration for the
client yet?

No we have not, but from what I hear, it will not change from what was
required for 4.0, unless you are planning on going to the SQL Version.
