Everything works ok with the ProControl the only thing you must do is to
uncheck the box "automatically start the database.." in the Progress
Explorer Tool
or you could disable the AdminService for PROGRESS 9.0B"

we rely heavily on Crystal Reports to get at the information we need.

Check out the Epicor web site - or ERANet. There were no good instructions in the paperwork. We couldn't get the 3.6 ODBC drivers to work properly, and epicor even suggested that we stayed on Merant 3.5 ODBC, as complex reports ( 80% of ours are complex) would not work under the 3.6 drivers.
