Vantage 6.1 email alert

Since the Vendor is assigned at the header, no it wouldn't make for a
great trigger because it will send the e-mail as soon as you create your
header.... no line details..... I think you would want to trigger on
the PODetail.POLine (or maybe even at the PORel), then get the POHead
table and check the vendor number to see if an e-mail needs to be sent.

{ud/GlbAlert.i &TableName = "PODetail"}
FIND FIRST POHeader WHERE POHeader.Company = PODetail.Company and
POHeader.PONUM = PODetail.PONUM NO-LOCK NO-ERROR.
IF AVAILABLE(POHeader) AND POHeader.VendorNum = ### THEN DO:
Enter your e-mail alert code here.......
END.
ELSE DO:
RETURN 'CANCEL SEND'.
END.

does anyone have vb code where an email gets fired when a certain vendor
gets
a PO entered? I tried using the vendor number. it fires an email, but
does not
work well for a trigger.

tia.
