I experienced the same thing.
A huge plus in 8.03 is the ability to add data from tables from
outside the canned report - the reports supplied have changed greatly
from 8.00.811 to 8.03.405, the modified reports were brought over in
the db conversion but in no way are they close to being useable. Some
reports that used to have a single style now have 1 or more
additional stlyes, so any custom styles you created as style 2 got
over written as well.
I took our modified crystal forms and opened them and linked to the
canned report xml data. the data wizard allows you to re map changed
field names and will show you the missing fields that are in the
report but not the xml data - from there you can go back and
duplicate the stock report definition and then add in your missing
fields. The sales and ar forms we customized needed to have new
tables in the xml data linked to prevent data duplication in the
report.
Unfortunately this is one of the things that was not tested when we
were piloting the upgrade and caused me grief during the first week
after the upgrade.
