Vantage 8.03.404b Whiteout

Yep, there is a document. Basically it is a way of cleaning the junk
out of your database and reorganizing the tables. It made a world of
difference when we did it. It took a whole weekend but it was worth it,
without a doubt. I'll upload the "Dump & Load" document.

What does the 'dump and load' mean? Is there a document on how to do
this?
Thanks!

Yes. We have gotten that. It's deceiving because it makes you think that
Vantage stopped working but most times if you are patient enough, which
i'm not, Vantage will come back. We were plagued by this problem for a
long, long time. We tried several different things to fix this but most
of them did not help. If this is happening to you a lot there are a few
key areas to focus on.

1) The server that Vantage is running on. Is your hardware up to par.
What other software running on your server could be causing resource
issues.
2) Are you having any other performance issues with Vantage? If so, you
may want to consider performing a "dump and load" on your database. Not
until we did this did our performance improve.

Does anyone get a white out? When you click on job entry for instance
and the screen goes entirely white accept for the word Vantage in the
upper left hand corner. One of those pesky intermittent issues.

I get this too! The white out is in progress, and then it jumps to another screen that is open within Vista. Like when in Sales Order entry and I save, it is doing its tax connect calc then it jumps to Customer Maintenance? Why does this happen?
