Vantage 8.03.405A Corvu Setup

Thanks for all your help Ned. I should be fine with the rest of the
corvu setup.

Cheers,

Jason.

I have Vantage 8.03.405A setup and running on a virtual server for
testing before we upgrade. We have Corvu installed along with VBI but
need to connect it to our database. Can anyone tell me how to create
the connection from Corvu to a Vantage progress db?

Thanks,

Jason Abramczyk.
You need an ODBC setup to connect to the DB.

As far as connecting it... Is this a new Corvu install or an old Corvu install
you want to connect to the new DB?

If it is an old one, you may need to upgrade it before you can connect it to the
new DB.

If this is a new corvu install - who did the install of Corvu? You or Epicor?

There are several different steps that need to be followed.

1- Local user with the username Corvu
2- Setup the ABA Server
3- Setup ODBC to the DB
4- Setup the Connection in Corvu

If Epicor did the install then all of that should be done for you, you may just
need to change the Corvu Connection to point to the right ODBC.

This is what you would call a new Corvu install as we have created a
test enviroment on a virtual server. Our Corvu version is 5.10.373
and we have done the install in house.

Do you know where i can find a step by step instruction on how to do
the 4 steps you have listed below?

Thanks for your help Ned.

Cheers,

Jason.

If you find the document, could you also send it to me. We have been
struggling to get Epicor to do this. They were suppose to do all the
intial setup of corvu and all they did was install it. So if you find
the document with the instructions in it, please send it to me.

Thanks,
Brad
