Vantage (8.03.409C) Print Variance Report Format

I have this exact issue at hand. My group wants the "Count Variance Report" in a more user friendly excel format for our year end. Did ever you come up with a soultion? Does it need to be recreated using a BAQ as suggested below? Anything would help. BAQs would be a little new to me, at least when it comes to our production environment. Thanks!

Hi, I was asked to change the format of the "Print Variance Report" and "Print Recount Report" under "Count Group Entry"! unfortunatly I can'y figure out the Report Data Defenition or evenfind any .rpt files related to these reports.

Has anyone worked on these reports? Can you point me in the right direction?

thanks,

have a great day
I believe the Variance Report is: CntVar. I don't see other report. Some
older reports are not done via Crystal and are not user maintainable
without the SDK.

When you run the report, look at the top right corner of the window. If it
is a Crystal report it will have a little 'Crystal Reports' logo.

I dont see a Crystal Report logo on this report. what I find strange is that when i run this report it creates a .TXT file and not an .xml file like I am used to seeing with crystal reports. I think you might be right about this report not being done via Crystal and is not user maintainable.

Yes, most of those reports are Progress? Reports...You can find the TXT file in your user reports directory and maybe work with it in Excel, but some are too much hassle...

Yeah. When push comes to shove, I usually just recreate it via BAQ and work
with that in Crystal.
