Vantage 8.03 - BPM Execute windows command

Hi,

This did actually work, I didn't have the appservers running at the time. School boy error. Looking to hook this up to exceute logicity software.

Hi,

I am trying to figure out how to get a windows command to execute on the server.

I have bpm to fire on an update of field. I am trying to use 4gl and the shellexec command to execute a simple bat file. My understanding, if the bpm works, that should execute on the server. I was also thinking about calling a .net method but got nowhere.

I was hoping someone could guide me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.
Hi,

you can create ABL directive in BPM.
There is a command in ABL language:

OS-COMMAND
[ SILENT | NO-WAIT | NO-CONSOLE ]
[ command-token | VALUE ( expression ) ]

Hope it helps.
Hi,

Thanks, have tried yet but it is not working. Not sure if it is a permissions
thing... Have tried DOS silent as well....
