Vantage 8.03 - login

Well, nothing was helping and everything seemed okay. So I reinstalled
Vantage and the client and I was able to log into Vantage 8.03.
Thanks everyone for your help.
I just wish I was more help to you all.

I am having problems logging into my test 8.03 database.
I have ran all the conversions. The Admin Tools logs in fine. There
are not schema changes to make.
The database is running and the 2 app servers are running, but when I
try to login to Vantage it says a valid user id is requiered - or
something like that. I am using the same one I use to log into the Admin
Tools.
I have even tried manager - manager.
Does anyone have any suggestions before I uninstall everything and start
over?
Thanks
Nancy

On one of our installs, the Test Database Icon was actually pointing to
the training database.

Check the properties of the Icon and make sure it is
/CONFIG=test.mfgsys

I notice you said 2 app servers? If memory serves, there should be
three.

Also in my experience I've found if you can't log on to the client, its
because you have missed something that needs to be done in the admin
tools first.

Hope that helps.

Your right, the 3 app servers.
I checked everything in the admin tools. Selected the serial# for the
companies.
In version 8.0 there were a couple of conversion required from the admin
tools.
Is there some for version 8.3?

You need to do a schema change from 8.00 to 8.03

Nancy,

I have seen this problem testing if the server has to much memory set
up in the blocks for db buffer.
