Vantage 8.03 - Looking for .net code to write Part.Number01

I would like to write values into Part.Number01, in current part master
records, as part of setup. 8.03 Progress (runtime) client does not
support this.

Does anybody have an example of how I could do this with .net? Any
other suggestions?
