Vantage 8.03 - MES Warning using BPM?

It is strange you mention this. I was working on almost the same
thing. But I wanted to flash a message if the operator tries to claim
a quantity that is greater than what Vantage thinks is at that
operation (from the PartWIP table).

I wrote a BPM in Pilot to try to get it right. It did not seem to
work at all. But then people on the floor started getting my message.
It was somehow affecting the live database. I remember someone in
this group mentioning the same phenomenon a couple days ago. So I am
getting a test box up to speed with its own install of Vantage, where
I can test BPMs in a totally separate environment.

But to answer your question, a BPM is the right tool for doing what
you want to do. The Epicor Users Tool Guide does a great job of
walking you through it.

I'm looking at making a warning in MES; when the Qty reported is over
the Qty of the job. Does anyone have any ideas? Can I do a BPM?
What directive do I use? Just looking for a starting place.
