Has anyone experienced the Vantage client refusing to close? It's almost like the client connection to the server is dropped but no error messages are displayed. The weird part is the user can continue working with no problem but Vantage will not close, the user can not change plants nor can a different user log in to the client. The only way to close the Vantage client is to use Task Manager and End Task. It's starting to be occur more often for users and there is no common pattern to the issue, all the users are in different departments and using different modules.
I’ve seen this occur when using custom Crystal Reports that use ODBC and CR parameters; the client will exhibit the same symptoms you describe after printing that custom report.

I think someone posted on here and I have used it…You can exit out of System Monitor and then for some reason the file/exit works in Vantage too afterward.

This works for me too.
Sometimes just opening the system monitor and then minimizing does it.

I will try the System Monitor trick next time it occurs.
Vic - All the machines have been WinXP SP3. At least those are the only ones to report the problem.
Thanks.
