We've recently implemented Vantage 8 and we bought the Advanced
Scheduling Module. We've attempted to schedule by people and machines
and the schedule just isn't working right. It's all about how the
resources are hooked to operations and what is or isn't checked
finite. If anybody has some tips on how to successfully do this it
would be much appreciated. We've dealt with Epicor consultants and
they've been helpful but we just aren't getting a good working
schedule. Perhaps we're trying to use it in a way it was not designed
to be used. We're open to hiring a knowledgeable scheduler to help us
get a good working schedule. With the recent layoff at Epicor, perhaps
there's a scheduling guru out there needing work.
