Vantage 8 Thin Clients

Two identical terminal servers. Dual Quad-Core processors, 8GB RAM,
Win 2003 Enterprise, 2X Application & Load Balancing software to
publish Vantage to Windows clients (XP and 2000).
Printing performance and reliability handled with triCerat Screwdrivers.

Hello Group:

Quick question for anyone out there running Vantage 8.

Is there anyone running V8 on thin clients without Citrix, and if so how are you doing it.

Hi Tim,

I am running two Windows 2003 Enterprise Terminal Servers using 2X
Application Server & LoadBalancing. I have approximately 60 users
loadbalanced between the two. Only publishing Vantage 8.03.404B - no
desktops or any other software and everything is running very well.

Hi Bill,

What are the specs on the servers you are running that can handle 30
logins apeice. We have a cluster of 5 2003 STD TS. We have run into
a ram limitation so we are now in the process of testing 2008 64bit
to overcome the ram limitation and to be able to publish apps
(including Vantage) via a web interface. Besides that Vantage runs
fine over Remote Desktop on both 2003 and 2008 TS servers. Most of
the users connecting to the TS environment are using Wyse terminals.

Thanks,
