Vantage Backup - AT Command

Yes, Todd suggestion did the trick. I have been out of the office for
a few days. Sorry for the delayed response. I added SYSTEM with FULL
permission and it worked.

Thanks to everyone who responded.

Did you get it fixed yet? The statement below from Todd is exactly what
happened to me on a server. The folder in which I stored my batch files
didn't have the proper permissions. Files would run fine if I launched
them
manually, just not from the scheduler. I added the proper permissions
for
that folder, applied the changes, and that fixed it.

I was using AT commands to run the Vantage backups (backvan.bat). I had
to share the directory that these commands backed up
to. Now my AT commands won't run. I have unshared the directory - no
luck. Stopped the scheduler service and restarted it - no luck.
Rebooted the server - Nope. Deleted all the AT commands and remade them
- no luck.

The bat files work fine if I run them manually.

How do I get my AT commands to start working again?

TIA,

Juliet

I would try putting the AT command in interactive mode and watching the
system when it launches, you may be able to see what the problem is. It is
an additional switch when creating the command.

The server is the PDC and is Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 5 I think
(could be SP 4). I found some articles on what you are talking about,
but I didn't think that it applied but maybe I should check into the
security issue. I could just kick myself. Change one little thing and
look what happens.

I will also try interactive mode. Thanks for the tip.

Any chance this is on a server which is not the PDC or involves another
server which is running NT-SBS? If so it could be related to
permissions on
a service on the PDC (which an NT-SBS server would have to be). If this
fits I can search some old messages and maybe help.

A shot in the dark would be to reinstall the service pack. This would require a reboot though. TGIF.

TGIF? Good thing you didn't post this on a Thursday.

Why not use the NT scheduler?
