We have recently changed banks and the new bank has trouble reading our
MICR line.
We have other banks that have no difficulties, but this new bank states
that they have
very precise scanning devices and that if a character is off a fraction
of an inch, the check errors
out. I have spent boo-koo hours trying to get this #$% MICR line to
their specifications. I
used one of their pre-printed checks for a template. I got the MICR
line to a gnat's eyelash, and
it still errors. This is a crystal form and I only have so much
control. But my question after
my rant is; have anyone else had a problem with a bank not being able to
read the MICR line?
thanks,
