Hi All,

We are trying to set up Vantage CRM. I am having difficulty getting
my head around tasks and task sets. Can anyone out there shed any
light on the subject?

We want to set up a process to progress a quote from lead to
oppertunity to quote, finally ending with a win/loose outcome.

Any help would be much appreciated.

In it's most basic form a Task Set is a collection of tasks which, once
configured, can be selected at time of raising a quote. When you add a task
to a task set you have the options of saying whether you can win or lose the
quote at that point and what the next task can be. It's not quite as
straight forward as it could be......I have found if you don't set up the
tasks correctly and in order that they won't display when you click on the
tasks tab on the quote. Also if there are problems with your task set it
might affect whether it'll let you define that task set as your default in
CRM setup.
