Vantage - Dahsboard XML Data

I purchased a single Pro License and it runs on a server. I think it cost less than $100. You basically schedule it to either email, print, or Save.
I just save it as HTML but you can also to csv, .doc, pdf, and a few more.
I just design how I wanted it to look using crystal. I will send a screen shot in an email.

Hi All

Im trying to make a wall board display to be put on a large monitor in various
places with information from Epicor which will be refreshed regularly.

Can you get a Dashboard to generate XML data on a regular refresh?

I know something like this can be done with a BAQ but with a BAQ you can't
filter results properly.

I can filter them from the dashboard but the dashboard is small font, and grey.

I need something that is more appealing.

I figured if I could export to an xml I would be able to create a web type page
which can display the XML in a neat fashion.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Epicor is built on an SOA architecture that is that for
every functionality button or nub it has there is a web service and BO that
can be accessed externally. So if you are trying to build a web page that
will show a BAQ or something of that sort. You can use a Web Service call to
basically make it look/do anything you want.

display certain fields on web pages etc?

Is there no easier was of getting a Dashboard to xml or asp?

Yes, once you get the web services running you can make it do what ever
you'd like here is an example of a web site we built to allow our Sales
People to see real time reports of what they are doing and how much they are
selling, it also lets them update the status of a project or a quote on the
site. All of it was done via Epicor Web Services. Give it a few minutes
since I just uploaded it so its processing.

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
I have displays that show production schedules to our sales reps on a screen that autorefreshes. What we did was use Logicity to schedule a report to run every few minutes and generate a webpage based of that data. Then on the screen the page is loaded with firefox and the reloadevery addin. This refreshes the screen every minute.

around. You can do it with Visual Studio Express I believe. Although I
haven't tried.

Did you use the free version to do everything you need?

Would you be willing to send screen shots of how the data appears on the
webpage?

How does it generate a web page based on that data?

Â
I have displays that show production schedules to our sales reps on a screen
that autorefreshes. What we did was use Logicity to schedule a report to run
every few minutes and generate a webpage based of that data. Then on the screen
the page is loaded with firefox and the reloadevery addin. This refreshes the
screen every minute.
