I asked the forum about this because everyone has their own idea of what
works. And although everybody's situation differs slightly, I thought this
would be a chance to glean the best of the best.
I'll definitely get going on the test server idea.

I have told tech support numerous times about our backup server, and
they have never had a problem with it. In fact, they have even told me
it is a good idea to have one.
We don't use it "live", but as a test server to test new patches, custom
programs, and restoring data.
