Vantage freezing on Citrix

Hi Freezing Screens,

We also use Citrix and have this problem.
I have found that if this happens try pressing alt print scrn.
This key sequence seems to wake up the sleeping Vantage attempt.
I believe there is a bug in the Vantage code that does this.
I hope this works for you.

Thanks,

Subject: [Vantage] Vantage freezing on Citrix

We are running Vantage 6.1 thru a Citrix server for a remote office.
We are constantly having users' Vantage sessions freeze up. It seems
to happen most frequently when doing print screens. Has anyone
experienced this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

When I used Citrix in conjunction with Terminal Server I had an issue
with user's getting 'white screened' and this usually happened just
after a print request. Not only did this freeze their session, but also
threw them out of Vantage and caused issues when they tired to re-login.
In my case I scraped my citrix box entirely for new hardware and now
only run Terminal Server. However I did a lot of research into fixing
this problem before scraping Citrix and found the following suggestions;
increasing memory, rebooting the box nightly and getting a fix from
Microsoft to prevent file locking (Vantage support has details on this).
I'm not sure what OS you're running on your Citrix box, but Server 2003
is far superior to W2K, etc. Finally, you may want to consider
reinstalling progress etc on your citrix box and make sure the admin
service for progress is not running on it.
