You've got some company ... Dril-Quip is in North West Houston. We
went live with Vantage 8.00.809f on October 30th.
Environment:
Windows Server 2003 64-bit
SQL 2005 64-bit (running in 2000 compatibility mode)
Manufacturing modules plus AR & AP
220 clients
20Gb database growing at 2Gb per month
All things considered, our experience has been smoother than
expected. My greatest concerns were that we would have major
performance and reliability problems under peak loads (which couldn't
be seen in a test environment).
After one month live, we've had a handful of instances where the
server had to be restarted due to SQL deadlocks but we found a
temporary workaround.
If we can be of assistance, don't hesitate to send an email.
