Vantage [Quote head]

Attached is the mail back and forth from Vantage support about this problem.
Note, you don't HAVE to be "kicked off". We wait about one minute, and if
the person gets out of the quote header, you automatically get into Vantage.
If they don't get out after about a minute, we call the salesman who's in
it. This works ok as a workaround for our small company, but I can't
imagine how others are handling it. Good luck.

PS - If you need to respond, I may not get the mail, as I get very few of
these egroup mailings. There is something wrong with my account, and no one
seems able to fix it. Please try me directly if you need something.
Thanks.

This problem was reported to us as "fixed in 4.00", and I was informed today
by Phil Bergland that it is NOT fixed. This is a huge problem for us, as we
have people quoting and logging in all day. Please let me know when this is
planned to be fixed. Thank you.

Amy, there is a axle that has been written up on this problem. I was not
able to get a date on when it would be fixed though. The problem has been
taken care of in 4.00. The problem is with your Global alert. If your Quote
date has been reached it sends an alert out and does not shut off. It
suppose to shut off after the first user has logged in.

If you have any other questions please email or call me.

Please reference call # 476009MPS if you have any additional questions on
this issue.

Make sure the person who is already in quote entry shuts Vantage down from
the workstation EVERY NIGHT.

Greg, most likely the user is being dumped because when Vantage starts it
checks for alerts due to expired quotes and is unable to do so when somebody
else is in quote entry.

We have the problem of someone trying to log in, after the name and
password, they get a message saying Quotehed is in use by someone and they
get kicked out. Even if that person is in a quote.. why should someone
else
get kicked out for it before they can even really log in..
