Todd,
Using an access database instead, you are right about where they are stored.
You are right they get saved correctly. Here is the trick. White is
16777215 and black is 0. The problem is that the font can be any color (0
is displayed as black), but the background is prevented from being black (0
is displayed as white the same as 16777215).
My settings are still saved as 16777215 and 0 (white on black), but the
background is displayed as white. This is certainly a bug that I will
continue to bug support about until someone is able to identify it as a
problem.

Wow. Does the same for me (changes black background to white). These
settings are stored in the UserFile table right? My printed Dictionary is
for V5.20 still. It might be interesting to run a quick RB report and see
at what point the value gets changed and what it really gets saved as. My
guess would be it "takes effect" correctly but is not "stored" as the right
value. Aren't the values or black & white at opposite ends of the scale
(000 vs. 999 or something like that)? We are using 6.10.511.

Critical issue here...(not)
Am I the only one that cannot set the Vantage main menu screens (explorer
tree and List View section of the Vantage Main menu) to white text and black
background and get it to keep?
To replicate in the Vantage menu Tree (middle of the three sections), right
click and choose explorer properties. Set the background to black and the
foreground to white. Make sure you have save settings on exit checked in
the options menu. Now exit Vantage and start it back up.
Mine always comes back with white on white. I can choose any other color
and it will keep including dark gray, but Black resets to white on a restart
of Vantage for me.
If anyone else can save white on black, please let me know. I have been in
a lengthy email conversation with Support and they can't seem to replicate
my problem yet. Am I the only one with this "feature"?
