Vantage Screen Pop

Tell me about it...the company we are using is reducing our monthly plan
by 30% a month. And to have the remote guys on our network made it
cheap as well!

We bought the "Productivity Pyramid" earlier this year and are ordering
another server to host the Epicor Portal. From what I've garnered of
Epicor
9, it looks like the Portal can play an integral part of spreading
Vantage
info around - especially when working with the Microsoft Office System.

We're excited about having the remote guys on soft-phones. That should

some $$$ while making call transfers more seamless.

I've had some requests from our users with regard to providing some
screen pop functionality when a customer calls in.

Basically, we want to pull up Customer Tracker automatically based upon
the phone number that is calling in... anybody travel down this path?

Most of the software that does this has teh ability to launch external
apps and pass the number. It will depend on the app you use i guess.

That really depends on the Phone System that you use. I know with an
Avaya IP Office and MS CRM 3.0 you can have that information display
when one of your customers call. Other than that software I'm not
certain how you would get that.

We're heading down this path with IP phones (Cisco I believe). Since we're
drinking the Epicor Portal Kool-Aid, we'll be using Outlook and the Cisco
phones will automatically call up the contact which is then linked to
Vantage. We're not there yet but this is our plan FWIW.
