Vantage upgrade from 6.0 to 6.10

I got through it, all you have to do is wait it out, looks like the
Progress client does not report its status to the kernel since the real
work is being done on the server. So all you have to do is wait 2 hours
and it'll work.

I'm doing the upgrade

1. run all the steps on the server smoothly
2. set up workstation
3. run madnatory changes
4. the whole thing starts to slow down and eventually stops to respond.
from time to time it'll jump or jitter, but I see no progress. my
computer is on a 1Gb netowrk with the servers, and I disconnect any
other connections to the backbone.

any suggestions?
