You can toss it in, as I did, but keep your eyes open. I did not have help
from Epicor (other than a couple basic Support questions). I did go though
a couple of the sales/demos on AMM before I dropped it in, and then after
the fact found out about the need for the input and output bins as well as
in your case backflush bins.
Other than that, I can't be of much more help on the install. The big
reason we stuck it in was the added function of report quantity and the
ability to write BAM .p files that are triggered by this process. Based on
that I built automatic production labels that print on report quantities.
There is so much more to this module than we currently use.
Good luck,

Aaron,
Thank you for your response, it did open some eyes even if only a little.
Did you have a person at Epicor that worked with you? If yes who?
Is there any kind of slide show or video?
We use Backflushing, will the material issues be different?
Any info will help, the sales people want to slam this in because it will
make there life easier and I don't have anything that I can show them that
it will critically impact other areas.
Thank you.

Gerry,
There are bunches of gotchas.
Off the top of my head, you will need to configure input and output bins
for
each work center. You will need to watch the material queue, anytime
production is reported, inspections are done, material is issued...if the
"request move" check box is checked (as it is by default) the material
will
not be moved until it is processed through the material queue.
Those are the big ones that I remember off the top of my head.
Good luck,
Aaron Hoyt

We are on V8.0.808d SQL of Vantage
We are in the process of implementing the AMM and have some questions.
Is there a e-learning available? I was unable to find it on the web sit.
Are there any "gotchas" that I should make sure we address?
And last, any encouraging words would help.
Thank you for any and all information.
