VB.Net Books?

An interesting book (ISBN 1861007124 on Amazon) is "Fast Track Visual Basic .NET" which is designed for VB6 programmers "stepping up" to VB.Net. As an aside one of the authors, Rocky Lhotka, got his first programming job 20 years ago working for me writing Fortran routines for the MANMAN, an early MRP system. He is now a .Net guru and travels worldwide consulting and for developer panels. Very articulate fellow and always "to the point" so should be pretty good if his writing follows his talking.

Could anyone recommend some good VB.Net books, I have done some VB6
coding but it has been a while.

I would recommend two books,
Amazon # 0782128777 (Visual Basic . NET) and
Amazon # 0782128785 (Visual Basic . NET Database Programming)


If your going to do anything with Databases the 2nd is almost a must.

I use these two books all the time.

I also purchased the VB.NET And ADO.NET from Microsoft Press and found that I
rarely used them compared with the other two.
