Vendor shipping performance

Sounds like more reasons to avoid the jump to 4.0! Maybe I'll just wait
and go to 5.0 if they make it "better"...

Does anyone else think that the "Vendor Shipping Performance"
in v4 is worthless? This module is much worse now than in
v3. You can't run it by vendor unless you go and manually
edit the query each time you want a different vendor. Editing
those queries are not something for the average user either.
Tech told me that I should export the data to excel and
delete the info I don't want to get a single vendor. Am
I missing something? (I know... buy the EBI module)

I think they ruined the Plant and Shipping performance screens as well. They
were simple to use and very informative in v3. I have no idea what they were
thinking with v4.

I would say that all the shop vision is pretty much useless in v4. They
could have left the ones in v3 alone for those of us that wanted a quick
look and then added the v4 shop vision as a separate tab for those that like
to manipulate things.

Joe,

We just took a look at that the other day. I was amazed at how bad the
information was. We were really looking forward to using this in
conjunction with the quality module to come up with some kind of vendor
rating system out of Vantage. I guess for now back to the Export Utility
or Report Builder.

If you own crystal you can make your own report and assign a search tool to
that. That is what I do for specific Vendor and Customer info.

Has anyone attended any of the recent vantage production classes and have
any handouts on using quote, order, jobs modules that they would like to
share?

That entire Shop Vision module looks to be "ruined." Our upper management
folks are not very computer-savvy, and the shop vision graphs and so on were
excellent tools for them-now they are a constant headache for me. I realize
that there was a need to add the capability to make choices in what you see
in the graph, but they could have left the other stuff alone and just added
this. My experience is that it takes at least two new releases to get
something changed "back". Is there any suggestion other than exporting to
Excel?
