Version 8 on Server 2003 SP2

Epicor takes the same stand as Progress... once an OS is approved, all
service packs are assumed to work until a problem is reported. Electroimpact
is using Windows 2003 SE SP1 on both TS and Vantage 8 Server with no
problems.

Are the progress products for Version 8 approved for Windows Server 2003
Standard Editions, Service Pack 2?
Is anyone running Version 8 on Server2003 SP2?

Pat -

I've been able to get it running on 2000 and XP. Our 2K3 server had a name
that began with a number
instead of alpha and Progress didn't like that. Have to reinstall today on
2003. Will let ya know.

So far with 2003 - just a real flat forehead here.

Patrick,

We have Vantage v8 running on Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition (which is
a Progress OpenEdge 10 supported platform). We do not however have SP1
installed and I don't have any plans to update to it anytime soon (to busy).
Therefore, I haven't looked into whether Progress officially supports SP1 or
not. Our workstations are a mix of Windows XP SP1 and SP2.

Calvin,

I was assuming that Server 2003 would have to be approved for V8 I wasn't
sure about SP2?
Epicor Support said, "They have not heard of any issues."
