Version Polling

That's great, Shirley...thanks so much. I know we'll be watching for
it as we work through our upgrading decisions. Much appreciated.

Many years ago Shirley Graver did a Poll on the Vantage group to find
out how many users were on which version. The results were interesting
and informative. Has there been any thought to preparing a new, more
current Poll for the group to respond to?

Great idea. One little tweak....seperate response options for current 8.x versions that came from 6.1 vs. "new 8.x". That is...not seperate for 8.03.4xx that came from prior 8.x version...those could be tallied as just their current version. But I would be very interested to know the % of live 8.x sites that came from 6.1 or earlier. There are a lot of new Vantage sites that did not migrate so only know 8.x (a testament to some silver tongued sales people).

So something like....
v4.0 or earlier
v5.x
v6.x
v8.0-from pre-8
v8.0
v8.03.3xx-from pre-8
c8.03.3xx
v8.03.4xx -from pre-8
v.8.03.4xx

On the 8.x patch/release/flavors lumping them into whateve xx makes sense.

-Todd C.

Absolutely, it would be great to see this information. I'm no even
sure anymore who the site moderators are that have access to enter a
new Poll?

I will try to set something up to post to the group with in the next week.
But have mercy, our plant is on strike, my day is starting at 2am so I can
cover half of the graveyard shift, but I'll get something posted soon.
