View as Assembly - Why not always have this set on all subassemblies?

I’m told, the previous ERP developer felt view as assembly should be cleared for subassemblies, but I’m not sure why(so most subassemblies are configured this way). Our users are complaining they want this flag set to true so they can see the materials and operations with out having to open another window to open the subassembly to see this information.

Unfortunately I don’t know the reasoning as to why you would want view as assembly set as false on subassemblies… Is there any reason to have view as assembly set as false on a subassembly?

Not that I know of. All of our sub assemblies have it checked for the reason you specified. I could understand not having Pull As Assembly checked or Plan As Assembly checked because they both do things but View As Assembly just shows the full method.
