Â
What tables and data are you using in your BAQs? Are there any advanced Vantage
modules needed to gather the data? We were thinking it may require the Advanced
Quality Module and clients at each CNC to be able to input the information and
report quantities.

Thanks,
Ed

As long as the info is ther in Vantage, you should be able to create anything as
long as you have a bit of Crystal knowledge.

I toyed with creating web pages by hand coding the holding pages, but in the end
I resorted to Logicity (free version for now).

I basically schedule a BAQ export to XML every x minutes.

I then have a crystal report designed using the xml data.

I then configure logicity to export the results to html every x minutes.

I then have a holding web page with an iframe in (containing the logicity info).
The holding page has java script in to refresh every x minutes.

I designed the crystal to fit a 40" widescreen by setting up a fake paper size.
this way the writing is nice and big on the display.

The only solution I can compare to is the IQMS Real-Time Manufacturing and
Process Monitoring product, and would like to accomplish something similar. We
are just in very beginning stages of investigating what is possible within
Vantage though.

I am half on with something that sounds similar - what are your thoughts and
what are you looking for and we can compare ideas.

Im working on a BAQ export to xml and Crystal picking up the data and displaying
it in HTML.

We have a CNC machine shop, and would like to implement a visual, real-time
board for all in-process jobs to show the status' with something like Andor
indicators. Has anyone successully implemented this through Vantage already and
if so, care to share the implementation process? What additional software is
needed, if any?
Thanks,
Ed
